This little butterfly is fast and easy to make and can be made with worsted weight yarn and a size G hook to make a bigger one if desired.

Size 10 crochet cotton in cream
Size 10 crochet cotton in amethyst
Size 7 steel crochet hook
Piece of magnet 1" long ½" wide
1 18x8mm Pear shaped acrylic faceted stone in yellow
Tapestry Needle for weaving in ends
Hot Glue and gun
Yarn Thickness: 10thread
Gauge: 10sc = 1"
Finished Size: 1¼"h x 2"w
Skill Level: Beginner
RND 1: With amethyst, Ch12, join w/slst to first ch to form ring. Ch12, slst in 12th ch from hook 3 times. Join w/slst to first ch of the first ch 12 lp to form a 4 leaf clover shape.
RND 2: Work 16 sc in each of the 4 ch12 lps. Join w/slst to first sc. Fasten off amethyst.
RND 3: Join cream in 3rd sc in first ch12 lp. Ch1. Sc in next sc. Dc in next sc. Ch3, slst in 3rd ch from hook, (picot made). 3dc in next sc, picot, 3 times. Dc in next sc. Sc in each of the next 5 sc. Sk next 2 sc. Sk first 2 sc in the next lp. Sc in each of the next 5 sc. Dc in next sc. Picot, 3dc in next sc 3 times. Picot. Dc in next sc. Sc in each of the next 2 sc. Sk last 2 sc. Sk next 2 sc in next lp. [Sc in each of the next 6 sc. Picot. Sc in each of the next 6 sc. Sk last 2 sc in this lp.] Sk first 2 sc in next lp. Rep bet  once. Join w/slst to first sc done in cream. Fasten off and weave all ends into back of work.
Finishing Assembly: With hot glue, glue stone onto front of butterfly and glue magnet to back of butterfly.
