Spiderweb Granny Square

Since Halloween is coming, I thought it would be cool to have granny square for this occasion so I came up with the idea of putting a spiderweb in the middle of a round of dc sts. I think it looks neat. Imagine a whole afghan made of these!

Materials Needed:
Small amount Red Heart WW yarn. White
Size H/8 or 5mm aluminum crochet hook
Yarn Needle

Gauge: 4sc=1"
Yarn Thickness 4mm
Finished Size: =6" x 6"
Skill Level: Easy

Instructions
RND 1: Ch4, join w/slst to first ch to form ring. *Sc in ring. Ch1. Rep from * 7 times more. Join w/slst to first sc.

RND 2: Ch4. *Hdc in sc. Ch 2. Rep from * around. Join w/slst to 2nd ch of ch4.

RND 3: Ch6. *Hdc in hdc, ch4. Rep from * around. Join w/slst to 2nd ch of ch6.

RND 3: Ch8. *Hdc in Hdc, ch6. Rep from * around. Join w/slst to 2nd ch of ch8.

RND 4: Ch10. *Hdc in hdc, ch8. Rep from * around. Join w/slst to 2nd ch of ch10.

RND 5: Slst into the first ch8 sp. Ch3, 3dc, ch3, 4dc in same sp. Work 8 dc in next sp. *Work 4dc, ch3, 4dc in next sp. Work 8dc in next sp. Rep from * around. Join w/slst to top of ch3. Fasten off and weave ends into work.
