Shells-n-Bumps TrivetDesigned By Julie A. Bolduc
This trivet is easy to make and could actually be made from any color combination you want. It uses the chenille bump stitch that you can find in the Stitches section of the Reference area. Then shell stitches are worked in each chenille bump stitch.

Worsted weight cotton yarn in Peaches & Creme color #4 Ecru
Size G/6 or 4.25mm aluminum crochet hook
Yarn needed for weaving in ends
Yarn Thickness: 3mm
Finished Size: 6" diam
Skill Level: Beginner
RND 1: Front Side: With Shades of Green. Ch4. Join w/slst to first ch to form ring. Ch3. 11dc in ring. Join w/slst to top of ch3.
RND 2: Ch3. Dc in 3rd ch from hook.(Chenille Bump Made chbmp) Sk next dc. *Sc in next dc. 1chbmp. Sk next dc. Rep from * around. Join w/slst to base of first chbmp.
RND 3: Ch3. 5dc in ch3 part of chbmp. *Dc in next sc. 5dc in next ch3 part of the next chbmp. Rep from * around. Join w/slst to top of ch3.
RND 4: 1Chbmp. Sk 2 dc. *Sc in next dc. 1chbmp. Sk 2 dc. Rep from * around. Join w/slst to base of first chbmp.
RND 5: Ch3. 5dc in ch3 part of chbmp. *Dc in next sc. 5dc in next ch3 part of the next chbmp. Rep from * around. Join w/slst to top of ch3. Fasten off and weave ends into back of work.
RND 1-5: Back Side. With ecru. Repeat as for rounds 1 -5 of front side but at the end, do not fasten off. Take hook out of work and set the back side face down in front of you. Place finished front piece on top right side facing up. Line up all stitches making sure the joined stitches are line up.
RND 6: Insert hook in front piece in the same stitch as slst then through the lp you took the hook out of from the back side. Pull that lp through the front side. Ch1. Now work through both layers from here on out. 1Chbmp. Sk 2 sts. *Sc in next st. 1Chbmp. Sk 2 sts. Rep from * around but make sure to slip the CD in before finishing. At the end join w/slst to first chbmp. Fasten off and weave ends into back of work.
