Size 10 Crochet Cotton in Red, America's Best Country Cotton, in Color 95 Red
30 Grams Glass E Beads in Black
Size 7 steel crochet hook
Fine needle to fit through beads but also so the thread can go through the eye.
Yarn Thickness: 10thread
Finished Size: 2½"x4¾"
Skill Level: Intermediate
Beaded Dc, bdc.Yo, insert hook in next st, yo, pull up a loop, bring up a bead, yo, pull through 2 lps on hook, yo, pull through last 2 lps on hook. String on all beads in the 30 gram tube. You will not use them all but you need most of them.
Starting at bottom
RND 1: Ch22. Sc in 2nd ch from hook and in each ch across. Sc in each bottom lp back to where you started. Join w/slst to first sc. You should have a total of 42 sts around.
RND 2: Ch3. Beaded dc in next sc. Dc in each of the next 2 sc. *Bdc in next sc. Dc in each of the next 2 sc. Rep from * around. Join w/slst to top of ch3. You should end with a dc in the last sc.
RND 3-16: Ch3. Bdc in next dc. Dc in next dc. *Dc in next dc. Bdc in next dc. Dc in next dc. Rep from * around. Join w/slst to top of ch3.
RND 17: Ch1. Sc in same st as slst. Sc in each of the next 2 sts. Ch21. Sk next 21 sts. Sc in each of the last 18sts. Join w/slst to first sc. (this is forming the opening to slip the iPod Touch in.)
RND 18: Ch3. Bdc in next sc. Dc in next sc. *Dc in next ch. Bdc in next ch. Dc in next ch. Rep from * 5 times more. **Dc in next sc. Bdc in next sc. Dc in next sc. Rep from ** to the end. Join w/slst to top of ch3.
RND 19-21: Ch3. Bdc in next dc. Dc in next dc. *Dc in next dc. Bdc in next dc. Dc in next dc. Rep from * around. Join w/slst top of ch3. At the end of RND 21, fasten off leaving an end at least 20" long for sewing the top closed. Rejoin thread on the bottom lp of the ch21 on the first st of the chain. Sc in each bottom lp across. Join w/slst to first sc of other end. Fasten off and weave these ends into back of work.
With beads on the inside, whip stitch top opening closed. Turn work inside out so the beads are inside. Slip the iPod Touch inside to protect it.
