8 Point Medallion Suncatcher

This sun catcher is also small enough to be a Christmas ornament. It is fairly fast and easy to make.

Materials Needed
Size 10 crochet cotton in white.
Size 7 steel crochet hook
3" brass ring
Size 7 steel crochet hook
Tapestry needle for weaving in ends.

Yarn Thickness: Yarn Thickness: 10thread
Gauge: 8sc=1"
Finished Size: 3" diam
Skill Level: Beginner

Instructions
RND 1: Ch6. Join w/slst to first ch to form ring. Ch5. Dc in ring, ch2, 7 times. Join w/slst to 3rd ch of ch5.

RND 2: Slst into the next ch2 sp. Ch3, dc in same sp. Ch3. *2dc in next ch2 sp, ch3. Rep from * around. Join w/slst to top of ch3.

RND 3: Ch5, dc, in same st as slst. (Ch5. Dc, ch2, dc in next dc.) *Dc, ch2, dc in next dc. Rep bet () once. Rep from * around. Join w/slst to 3rd ch of ch5. Fasten off and weave end into back of work.

Assembly: Join thread to brass ring. Work 10 sc in ring. Dc in one of the ch5 lps on the medallion. *10sc in brass ring. Dc in ch5 lp of medallion. Rep from * around. Join w/slst to first sc. Fasten off. Weave one end into back of work. Make a hanger with the other end.
