Cluster Chains Scrunchie

This scrunchie is fast and easy to make. You could make several in an evening. It uses a modified cluster stitch worked into a series of chains which have 3 clusters in each chain.

Small amount desired color worsted weight acrylic yarn. Red Heart Super Saver in Purple was used in the example.
1 medium sized ouchless hair elastic. Goody Brand was used in the example.
Size H/8 or 5mm aluminum crochet hook
Yarn Needle for weaving in ends
Yarn Thickness: 4mm
Finished Size: 4"
Skill Level: Beginner
Cl: Yo, insert hook in place indicated, yo, draw up a lp, yo, pull through 2 lps on hook, yo, insert hook in same place, yo, draw up a lp, yo, draw through 2 lps on hook, yo, draw through all lps on hook.
Join yarn to elastic. Ch4. Cl in 3rd ch from hook. [Ch3. Cl in back side lp of 3rd ch from hook, (on top of previous cluster.) Twice] *Sc in elastic ring. [[Ch3. Cl in back side of 3rd ch from hook. three times.]] Ch1. Rep from * until you fill the elastic. About 22 times. Fasten off, weave ends into first and last chain.
