Scavenger Hunt

The item for Today is below.
Item: You are hunting for "a Christmas Tree with Gifts".
Clue: You will find it in the Jewelry patterns!

I am now using images that are in either of the 2 Paper Bead Generators, or a thumbnail image of a pattern relevant to the current time period, for the daily Scavenger Hunt Items.

The daily scavenger hunt item can only be found for one day.

The instant prize is access to a Gold Members Only crochet pattern that is free for today only for everyone! The pdf file is not part of the prize.

 The Points Program Has Started!

A special code has been placed under this image, on the page that will have the scavenger hunt item on it. Sign up for a Free Points Account and you can claim 1000 points for finding today's item! you can also get free access to the page that it is on! As of August 5, 2020, I have fixed the problem of not being able to access the pattern page that the link goes to if you are not a gold member. Now anyone who finds the scavenger hunt item, member or not can access the pattern page for one day.  Not the PDF though.

Featured Pattern

This pattern is Not Free.

Since Christmas will be here in less than 5 months, I figured this is a good time to download this pattern and get started on it. This crocheted Victorian Christmas Tree Skirt is made with 10 panels that are crocheted together to form a complete circle. Then a collar is made at the top to make the neck of the skirt smaller. It is fun and easy to make but it is a big project that is time consuming.

From now on, I will featured either free or for members patterns. The members patterns will not be free but they will be available for either $1.99 or for 19,900 points for those who have a free points account. They will always be available to Gold Members without having to redeem points.

Points Program News

Points accounts are Back!

I am still ironing out the little wrinkles in the system but it is up and running! Sign up now and join in the fun! Earn points for use in downloading Gold Members only files! I am slowly adding download buttons you can use to redeem points for patterns and templates. The buttons will be placed on a download page like it was on the old version of the site last year. It will take awhile to add all of them.

I have come up with something that Gold members can redeem their points for. The way I expect to be able to set it up is I will make a page just for Gold members that will have listings on it that you can redeem points for. The items will be things I already sell at Amazon and Etsy but they will be available through the points system. Only for Gold members. There may be shipping charges, there may be not. I will be getting that part of the Points Program set up within the next couple of months. So meanwhile, keep adding points to your points account so you can take advantage of the discounts and perhaps freebies when redeeming points!

Tuesday's Tips

Buy More Than Enough Yarn When buying yarn, for a specific project, buy one more skein than the pattern calls for, that way, you will know you have enough and any left overs can be used in a scrap project! This goes for any other type of craft supply you need to get a certain quantity of. Just get a little more than the project calls for.

Control Your Craft Clutter If you are like me and most crafters out there, you like to keep cardboard packaging and other packaging materials "just in case". Doing that often gets out of control if you don't save them in a controlled manner. Well what I do is a designate a special container to keep various materials in and when each container is full, I do not save any more of that particular item until my supply is almost gone. For example, empty cereal boxes for the cardboard. I keep my supply in a magazine holder. When it's full, I do not save more, until my supply of that wonderful cardboard is almost gone. My community recycles so I don't feel bad about getting rid of those empty boxes if I know I have a handful available to use whenever I need to.
