This pattern is always Free.
This potholder is just a simple pattern that can easily be made in a couple or 3 hours. It is meant to be a basic pattern that actually can be used. I recommend lining it between the layers with wool felt for added protection.
Every day, from now on, I will post a pattern that is always free. Since all of the Gold members patterns will be available for points, eventually, and I am giving away one free pattern per day with the Scavenger Hunt, I figured this would be fair to the Gold Members and everyone else.

Points Program News
Points accounts are Back!
I am still ironing out the little wrinkles in the system but it is up and running! Sign up now and join in the fun! Earn points for use in downloading Gold Members only files! I am slowly adding download buttons you can use to redeem points for patterns and templates. The buttons will be placed on a download page like it was on the old version of the site last year. It will take awhile to add all of them.
I have come up with something that Gold members can redeem their points for. The way I expect to be able to set it up is I will make a page just for Gold members that will have listings on it that you can redeem points for. The items will be things I already sell at Amazon and Etsy but they will be available through the points system. Only for Gold members. There may be shipping charges, there may be not. I will be getting that part of the Points Program set up within the next couple of months. So meanwhile, keep adding points to your points account so you can take advantage of the discounts and perhaps freebies when redeeming points!
Rotary Cutting Paper Bead Strips & Fabric If you use a rotary cutter, quilt ruler and cutting mat to cut your paper into strips for making paper beads, add a 4-5 pound weight to the top of your ruler to help keep it's place while using the rotary cutter. The weight will help keep the ruler in place. I also use mine when I am cutting fabric!
Marking Quilt Lines You can use heat removable pens that are made for fabric when marking your quilts. When you apply heat from an iron and the marks will go away. This works especially well when you plan to wash your project, such as a quilt. Once washed, the marks will never come back. Some say the marks will come back when very cold but if you wash the item, you are washing away the ink so the marks will never come back. Make sure the package you buy, says they are for fabric, however. I have a quilt, that I used them on the center block on, and washed the quilt. The room that the quilt is in, gets very cold. The marks never came back.
