Pineapple Angel
Designed by Julie A. BolducThis little angel would look pretty set up on a stand close to the door where most of your guest come in. Her skirt has many pineapples and we all know that pineapples represent welcome to my home.
- Materials Needed
- White size 10 Crochet Cotton. Southmaid was used in the example.
- 1 doll pin with stand.
- 1 pair of wire rimmed wings or any purchased wings of your choice.
- size 7 steel crochet hook
- Tapestry Needle for weaving in ends
- Yarn Thickness: 10thread
- Gauge: 10sc =1"
- Finished Size: =4" high
- Skill Level: Beginner
Instructions
RND 1: Ch10, join w/slst to first ch to form ring. Work 10 sc in ring. Join w/slst to first sc.
RND 2: Ch3, dc in same st as slst. Sk next st. *2dc in next st. Sk next st. Rep from * around. Join w/slst to top of ch3.
RND 3 & 4: Slst to the first sp bet 2dc groups. Ch3, dc in same sp. 2dc in each sp bet 2dc groups around. Join w/slst to top of ch3.
RND 5: Slst to the first sp bet 2dc groups. Sc in same sp. Ch3, *sc in next sp. Ch3. Rep from * around. Join w/slst to first sc.
RND 6: Slst to the first ch3 lp. Work the fol in this first lp. (ch3, dc, ch3, 2 dc.). Work the fol in each ch3 lp around. (2dc, ch3, 2dc) Join w/slst to top of ch3.
RND 7: Slst to the first ch3 sp. Work the fol in this first sp. (ch3, dc, ch3, 2 dc.) Ch1. *Work the fol in next ch3 lp. (2dc, ch3, 2dc), ch1. Rep from * around. Join w/slst to top of ch3.
RND 8: Slst to the first ch3 sp. Work the fol in this first sp. (ch4, dc, (ch1, dc 4times )) so now you have a shell that has 6 dc divided by ch1s. Sc in next ch1 sp. *Work the fol in the next ch3 sp.(dc, ch1, 5 times, dc). Sc in next ch1 sp. Rep from * around. Join w/slst to top of ch3.
RND 9: Ch6, *(sc in next dc, ch3, 3 times) [Dc in next dc, twice] Ch3. Rep from * around. Join w/slst to 3rd ch of ch6.
RND 10: Ch6. *Sk next ch3 sp, sc in next ch3 sp. Ch3, (sc in next ch3 sp, ch3, 3 times.) Sk next ch3 sp, dc in next 2dc. Ch3. Rep from * around but before dc in very last st, you will need to join w/ a slst to 3rd ch of ch6.
RND 11: Ch6. *Sk next ch3 sp, sc in next ch3 sp. Ch3, (sc in next ch3 sp, ch3, 2 times.) Sk next ch3 sp, dc in next dc. Ch3. Dc in next dc. Ch3. Rep from * around but before dc in very last st, you will need to join w/ a slst to 3rd ch of ch6.
RND 12: Ch6, *Sk next ch3 sp, sc in next ch3 sp. Ch3, dc in dc, ch3, sc in next ch3 sp ch3, dc in dc, ch3. Rep from * around. Join w/slst to 3rd ch of ch6.
RND 13: Ch3, dc in next dc, ch3, *(sc in next ch3 sp, ch3, twice) dc in next 2 dcs. Ch3. Rep from * around. Join w/slst to top of ch3.
RND 14: Slst to the center of the first ch3 sp. Sc in same sp. Ch3, *(dc, ch3, dc) in next ch3 sp. Ch3, sc in next ch3 sp. Ch5. Rep from * around. Join w/slst to first sc.
RND 15: Slst in the first 2 chs of the first ch3 sp. Sc in same sp. *4dc, ch3, 4dc in next ch3 sp. sc in next ch3 sp. Ch3. Dc, ch3, dc in next ch5 sp V-st made. Ch3. Sc in next ch3 sp. Rep from * around but join w/slst to first sc at the end of the round.
RND 16: Slst into each of the first 4 dc and into the first ch3 sp. Ch6, dc in same ch3 sp. *Ch3. 3dc, ch3, 3dc (shell made) in next V-St. Ch3. Vst in next shell. Ch3. Rep from * around. Join w/slst to 3rd ch of ch6. Fasten off and weave ends into work.
Arms: Join thread in row one on third stitch. Ch 11. Dc in 3rd ch from hook, ch2, slst in same ch as dc. Sc in each of the next 7 chs. Slst to same st as joining. Fasten off and repeat on opposite side of shoulder. Fasten off and weave ends into work. Tack the hands together with a single stitch with a needle.
