Filet Angel Ornament
Designed By Julie A. BolducThis little angel has a very full skirt and lacy wings and would look great next to the Filet Tree Top Angel also available on this site.
Materials Needed
Small amount size 20 cotton thread. White DMC Cebelia Was used.
Size 11 steel crochet hook
Fine Tapestry needle
Yarn Thickness: 20thread
Gauge: 12 sc =1"
Finished Size: = 3½" high

Instructions
Head
RND 1: Ch2. Work 12 sc in 2nd ch from hook. Join w/slst to first sc.
RND 2: Ch1. Sc in same st as slst. *2sc in next st. 1 sc in next st. Rep from * around. Join w/slst to first sc. (18sc.)
RND 3-7: Ch1. Sc in same st as slst and in each st around. Join w/slst to first sc.
RND 8 & 9: Ch1. *Sc in next st. Sk 1 st. Rep from * around. Join w/slst to ch1. At the end of RND 9 you should have 8 sc.
RND 10: Ch3, dc in same st as slst. 2dc in each st around. Join w/slst to top of ch3.
RND 11: Ch5, dc in same st as slst. Dc, ch1, dc in next st and in each st around. Join w/slst to 3rd ch of ch5. You just made 16 Vsts.
RND 12: Ch5. *Dc in next dc. Ch2. Rep from * around. Join w/slst to 3rd ch of ch5.
Waist
RND 13: Ch3. (*Dc in each of the next 2 chs. Dc in dc. Rep from * 2 more times. Sk 13 ch2 sps. Dc in next dc.) Rep bet ( ) once. Join w/slst to top of ch3.
RND 14: Ch5, dc in same st as slst. Ch2. *Vst in next dc, ch2. Rep from * around. Join w/slst to 3rd ch of ch5.
RND 15-22: Ch5. *Dc in next dc. Ch2. Rep from * around. Join w/slst to 3rd ch of ch5.
RND 23: Slst into the first ch2 sp. Ch8. Dc in same sp. Dc, ch5, dc in next ch2 sp and in each ch 2 sp around. Join w/slst to 3rd ch of ch8. Fasten off and weave end into work.
Finishing Wings
Tie thread onto first free dc of rnd 12 to the left of the waist while the head is facing toward you. Work in rows not rounds from Here.
ROW 1: Ch5. Dc in next dc. Ch2. Rep from * across to the last free dc in row. Ch5, turn.
ROW 2: Ch5. Dc in next dc. Ch2. Rep from * across. Ch1. Turn.
ROW 3: Slst into first ch2 sp. Ch8. Dc in same sp. Dc, ch5, dc in next ch2 sp and in each ch2 sp across. Fasten off and repeat with other wing. Fasten off and weave ends into work. No halo needed for this one she is holy enough!
