Pineapple Filet Doily

I have been wanting to combine filet with pineapples and this is what I came up with. It starts out working in rows then is worked in the round for a unique look.

Materials Needed:
White Cebelia by DMC size 20
Size 11 Steel Crochet hook
Tapestry Needle

Yarn Thickness: 20thread
Gauge: Center Square is 2"
Finished Size: =7½" diameter
Skill Level: Average

Instructions
ROW 1:Ch 35> Dc in 8th ch from hook. *Sk 2 chs, Ch2 ,dc in next ch. Rep from * across. Ch5, turn.

ROW 2: Sk 2 chs, dc in next dc, *ch2, dc in next dc. Rep from * across. Ch5 turn.

ROW 3- 10: Rep ROW 2. But on the 10 row. Do not ch 5 or turn. From here on out you will be working around.

RND 1: 2sc in last mesh just made. *Ch3, 2sc in next mesh down left side of work. Rep from * around but work (2sc ch4, 2sc) in each corner mesh. But when you get back to where you started, you will already have 2 sc in the first mesh so just ch 4, and join w/slst to first sc.

RND 2: Slst into the first ch3 sp. Ch5, dc in next ch3 sp, *[ch2, dc in next ch3 sp 7 times.] Work the following in the next ch4 sp. (2dc, ch1, 2dc, Shell made. ch3, 2dc, ch1, 2dc shell made.) Dc in next ch3 sp. Rep from * around ending with the last corner. Join w/slst to 3rd ch of ch5.

RND 3: Ch5, dc in next dc, *(Ch2, dc in next dc, 8times.) ((Shell in shell)) (((Dc, ch1, 5 times in next ch3 sp))), dc in same ch3 sp. Rep bet (( )). Sk 2dc of shell, dc in next dc. Rep from * around ending with a slst to 3rd ch of the beginning ch5 to join.

RND 4: Ch5, dc in next dc, *(Ch2, dc in next dc, 8times). ((Shell in shell)) Sk 2dc of shell. (((Ch3, sc in dc, 6 times.))) Ch3. Rep bet (( )). Sk 2dc of shell, dc in next dc. Rep from * around ending with a slst to 3rd ch of beginning ch5 to join.
