To join motifs together to make large doilies or a tablecloth. You will be joining the motifs together on rnd 12. Make one complete motif then join them as you complete each one.

RND 12 to join. [Ch4, sc in ch8 lp of previous motif. Ch4. Sc in next dc. (Ch3, sc in next ch3 sp, 3 times.) Ch3. Dc, ch1, sc in ch3 point of prev motif, ch1, dc in ch3 sp of current motif. Rep bet () once. ] Ch 3. Then continue rnd as for previous motif.

Join the next motif the same way. When you need to join more than one side of the same motif to others, work as you did bet []. I suggest making a strip of motifs the length you want the motif to be. Then when adding another row, this is where you will be joining two sides of the motif.

This is hard for me to explain without actually making a tablecloth.
