Now for the Assembly
You will not believe this.
Get out an empty and clean soda can. Any brand will do.

Now use your favorite stiffening stuff and saturate the basket and put it over the top end of the can and leave there overnight. In the morning it should be good and hard.

As for the handle. Drench that also but lay it out flat on a foam board and as straight as you can get it, pin it down with rust proof pins and let it dry overnight also. But try to get both the basket and the handle stiffened the same night.

Before leaving both pieces alone, pat the excess stiffener off with a paper towel or a clean cloth. Do it well or you may not get the desired effect of being able to see the stitches clearly.

The next day after both pieces are dry, remove the pins from the handle and the basket from the can. Sew the handles in place securely. This may be a little tough if you have a lot of stiffener in the fibers. Add the grass and goodies and enjoy.
