Lacy Easter Bowl

Lacy Easter Bowl Designed By Julie A. Bolduc

This bowl is made for filling with Easter grass and decorative Easter eggs. It is fun and easy to make and can be made in just a few hours.

Materials Needed
Size 10 crochet cotton in any color. Aunt Lydia's in delft blue was used in the example.
Size 7 steel crochet hook
Tapestry needle for weaving in ends.
Fabric Stiffener that will result in a very rigid finish
A small plastic bowl for dipping work in
A pyrex bowl 1½pt mixing bowl for mold
Plastic wrap

Yarn Thickness: 10thread
Gauge: 8dc=1"
Finished Size: 5½" diam x 3¼" high
Skill Level: Intermediate

Special Stitch: (Dcdec) Double Crochet decrease. *Yo, insert hook in next dc, yo, pull up a lp, yo pull through 2lps on hook twice. Yo, pull through all 3 lps on hook.

Finishing
Step 1: Tape plastic wrap to outside of pyrex bowl to completely cover it. Set aside.
Step 2: Pour about ¼ cup fabric stiffener in plastic bowl and dip crochet piece in it completely saturating work.
Step 3: Place work on bottom of plastic covered pyrex bowl to shape crocheted bowl. Allow to dry overnight.
Step 4: Remove piece from pyrex bowl, fill with Easter grass and goodies! Enjoy!
