This beaded necklace is fairly fast and easy to make. You could make it in an evening to wear the next day.

Materials Needed:
Size 10 crochet cotton in cream. Southmaid was used in the example
88 E Beads in clear or Rocaille style
44 E Beads in clear blue or color of choice
Size 7 steel crochet hook
Clasp of choice
Tapestry Needle for weaving in ends

Yarn Thickness: 10thread
Gauge: 8sc=1"
Finished Size: 18" long
Skill Level: Intermediate

Instructions
STEP 1: String all beads onto thread using needle. Put them on this is order. Clear, *colored, clear, clear. Rep from * until all of the colored beads are on then make sure there is only 1 clear bead at the end.

ROW 1: Ch147. To make the first beaded dc, do the following. Yo, insert hook in 4th ch from hook, pull up a lp, pull up the first bead, then finish the dc making sure to lock the bead in the first part of the dc. Dc in next ch. *Beaded dc in next ch. Dc in next ch. Rep from * across to the end. Ch1, turn.

ROW 2: Sc in first dc and in each of the next 41 sts. *Ch2, bring up a bead, ch2. Dc in 4th ch from hook. Sk 2 sts on row 1. Sc in next st. Rep from * 19 times more. Sc in each of the rest of the sts across. Fasten off and weave ends into back of work. Attach clasp to ends.
