Daisy Bright Hot Pad

This hot pad as will all of my CD hot pads can also be a potholder by leaving out the CD. This bright and sunny hot pad will brighten up any kitchen.

Materials Needed
Worsted weight cotton yarn in yellow, Peaches & Creme
Worsted weight cotton yarn in white, Peaches & Creme
Worsted weight cotton yarn in Daisy Ombre, Peaches & Creme
Old CD
Size H/8 aluminum crochet hook
Metal Yarn needle for weaving in ends

Yarn Thickness:4mm
Gauge: 4dc = 1"
Finished Size: 8" diam
Skill Level: Beginner

Instructions
RND 1: Make 2 the same. With yellow, ch5, join w/slst to first ch to form ring. Ch1. 10sc in ring. Join w/slst to first sc.

RND 2: Starting bl in same st as slst. Ch1. *Bl in next st. Ch1. Rep from * around. Join w/slst to top of first bl.

RND 3: Slst into the first ch 1 sp. Ch3, 2dc in same sp. 3dc in each ch1 sp around. Join w/slst to top of ch3. Fasten off yellow.

RND 4: Join white in same st as slst. Starting bl in same st as slst. Ch1. *Bl in next st. Ch1. Rep from * around. Join w/slst to top of staring bl.

RND 5: Join Daisy Ombre in same st as slst. Sc in same st. Sc in ch1 sp. *Sc in next st. Sc in next ch1 sp. Rep from * around. Join w/slst to first sc. Fasten off. Weave all ends into back of work. Make another one the same exact way.

Finishing Assembly Step 1: Place both pieces together wrong sides facing each other. Join yellow yarn in same st as slst through all both layers. Ch4. Sk 1 sc. *Sc in next sc, ch4. Rep from * a little more than halfway around, then slip in the CD, then continue to the end. Join w/slst to first ch of ch4. Fasten off yellow.

STEP 2: Join white in first skipped stitch in front of ch4 sp. Ch4. (Sc in next skipped sc, behind next ch4 sp. Ch4.) *Sc in next skipped sc in front of next ch 4 sp. Ch4. Rep bet ()once. Rep from * around. Join w/slst to first ch of ch4. Fasten off, weave ends into back of work.
