Round Ruffles Pillow

This pillow is made in 2 parts then stitched together on the final round. It has a square pillow form in it but if you can find a round one, it may work better.

Materials Needed
Worsted weight acrylic yarn in Light Sage
Worsted weight acrylic yarn in a matching multicolor yarn.
Size H/8 or 5mm aluminum crochet hook
Yarn needle for weaving in ends.
14" round or square pillow form

Yarn Thickness: 4mm
Gauge: 4dc = 1"
Finished Size: 14" in diameter
Skill Level: Beginner

Instructions
RND 1: With Light sage. Ch6. Join w/slst to first ch to form ring. Ch3, 17dc in ring. Join w/slst to top of ch3.

RND 2: Ch3, sk 1 dc. *Sc in next dc. Ch3, sk 1 dc. Rep from * around. Join w/slst to base of first ch of ch3.

RND 3: Slst into the first ch3 sp. Ch3, 3dc in same sp. 4dc in each ch3 sp around. Join w/slst to top of ch3.

RND 4: Repeat round 2.

RND 5: Repeat round 3.

RND 6: Ch3. Sk 2 dc. *Sc in next dc. Ch3. Sk 2 dc. Rep from * around. Join w/slst to base of first ch3 sp.

RND 7: Slst into the first ch3 sp. Ch3, 3dc in same sp. 4 dc in each ch3 sp around. Join w/slst to top of ch3.

RND 8: Repeat round 6.

RND 9: Repeat round 7.

RND 10: Ch3, sk 3dc. *Sc in next dc. Ch3, sk 3 dc. Rep from * around. Join w/slst to base of the first ch3 sp.

RND 11: Repeat round 7.

RND 12: Repeat round 10.

RND 13: Repeat round 7.

RND 14: Repeat round 6. Fasten off and weave ends into back of work.

RND 1-14 of Back: Repeat as for first side.

Ruffles: Use the multi color yarn. Join yarn to center most sc of first side of pillow (round 2). Ch3, 4dc around same sc. Work 5 dc around each sc around. Join w/slst to top of ch3. Fasten off and weave ends into work. Repeat this for each even number round. Repeat for other side of pillow.

Assembly: Place front and back of pillow together wrong sides facing each other. Join Multicolor yarn on any ch3 sp working through both front and back of pillow. Ch3, 4dc in same sp. Work 5 dc in each sp around but before closing, slip pillow form into pillow cover. Close then join w/slst to top of ch3. Fasten off and weave ends into back of work.

Storing Laminated Templates
If you have some of my Laminated marking templates for making paper beads, you can punch holes in them on one side for storing in a three ring binder. The holes should not interfere with being able to mark your papers.
