The yarn I used for this hat is Caron Simply Soft which is a bit thinner than Red Heart worsted weight yarn. You may need to adjust your size according to what yarn you use and who's head you are making it for.
Sizes Note: I adjusted the size by eliminating one or more of the increasing rounds. The size in the photo fits my Husband's Head and it is for an average man's sized head. It can be made for women by changing the colors. If you make it for a child, just decrease the number of rows in the cuff area and by eliminating either the last 2 or 1 increasing rounds.

Random Quick Tip!
Marking Quilt LinesYou can use heat removeable pens that are made for fabric when marking your quilts. When you apply heat from an iron and the marks will go away. This works especially well when you plan to wash your project, such as a quilt. Once washed, the marks will never come back. Some say the marks will come back when very cold but if you wash the item, you are washing away the ink so the marks will never come back. Make sure the package you buy, says they are for fabric, however. I have a quilt, that I used them on the center block on, and washed the quilt. The room that the quilt is in, gets very cold. The marks never came back.
