Shells Doll Pin Angel
Designed By Julie A. BolducThis angel is fast and easy to make and could actually be made with any color sport weight yarn. I left off the halo since I figured you could put any kind of halo on it that you would want.
Materials NeededBaby sport pompadour acrylic yarn in white. This is the baby weight.
Size D aluminum crochet hook
Wooden doll pin and stand
Yarn needle for weaving in ends and stitching wings to back.
Yarn Thickness: 3mm
Gauge: 6sc=1"
Finished Size: 4"high
Skill Level: Beginner
Instructions
RND 1: Ch8. Join w/slst to first ch to form ring. Ch3. Dc in each ch around. Join w/slst to top of ch3. (8sts around)
RND 2: Ch3. Dc in each dc around. Join w/slst to top of ch3.
RND 3: Ch4. *Dc in next dc. Ch1. Rep from * around. Join w/slst to 3rd ch of ch4.
RND 4: Ch1. 5dc in next ch1 sp. *Sc in next dc. 5 dc in next ch 1 sp. Rep from * around. Join w/slst to top of ch3.
RND 5-8: Slst to the 3rd dc in the first 5dc shell. Ch3. 4dc in same st. Ch1. *5dc in 3rd dc of next shell. Ch1. Rep from * around. Join w/slst to top of ch3.
RND 9: Slst to the 3rd dc of first shell. Ch3, 2dc, [Ch3, slst in 3rd ch from hook], ([picot] made), 3dc in same st. Picot. *3dc, picot, 3dc in 3rd dc of next shell. Picot. Rep from * around. Join w/slst to top of ch3.
Finishing Wings
ROW 1: Ch8. Join w/slst to first ch to form ring. (Ch3, 7dc in ring. Ch4, turn.
ROW 2: Dc in next dc, ch1, 3 times. Ch1, turn.
ROW 3: 3dc, picot, 3dc in next ch1 sp. Picot. Sk next ch1 sp. 3dc, picot, 3dc in next sp. Sc in same sp. Fasten off and weave ends into back of work.
Finishing Other Side of wings.:
ROW 1: Turn wings over so it is face down. Join yarn in ring where you started first side. Ch3, 7 dc in ring.
