CD Drawstring Bag

This bag has a base that is made out of an old CD. It is fairly fast and easy to make and would make a good beginner to intermediate pattern.
Materials Needed
Worsted weight cotton yarn in ecru.
Worsted weight cotton yarn in shades of red.
Size H/8 or 5mm aluminum crochet hook
Old CD
Yarn needle for weaving in ends
Yarn Thickness: 3mm
Gauge: 5dc=1"
Finished Size: 8"x10"

Instructions
Inside bottom:
RND 1:Ch3. 12 dc in 3rd ch from hook. Join w/slst to first dc. (12dc)
RND 2: Ch3. Dc in same st as slst. 2dc in each st around. Join w/slst to top of ch3. (24dc)
RND 3: Ch3. Dc in same st as slst. Dc in next st. *2dc in next st. Dc in next st. Rep from * around. Join w/slst to top of ch3. (36dc)
RND 4: Ch3. Dc in same st as slst. Dc in each of the next 2 dc. *2dc in next st. Dc in each of the next 2 dc. Rep from * around. Join w/slst to top of ch3. (48dc)
RND 5: Ch1. Sc in same st as slst. Sc in each of the next 3 dc. *2sc in next st. Sc in each of the next 3 dc. Rep from * around. Join w/slst to ch1. (60sc) Fasten off, weave ends into back of work. Set aside inside bottom.
Outside:
RND 1-5: Rep rounds 1 - 5 of inside bottom but do not fasten off. Ch1.
RND 6: Put both pieces together, wrong sides facing each other. Working through both layers. Insert hook through same st as slst and through any sc on the other layer. Pull up a lp then ch3. Now work a dc in each st around through both layers. Insert CD before closing. Join w/slst to top of ch3.
RND 7: Ch2. Yo, insert hook in next dc, yo, pull up a lp, yo pull lp through 2 lps on hook, 4 times. Yo pull through all lps on hook. Beginning cluster made. Work 5dc in same st as last st of cluster. *Yo, insert hook in next dc, yo, pull up a lp, yo pull lp through 2 lps on hook, 5 times. Yo pull through all 6 lps on hook. Cluster made. 5dc in same st as last st of cluster. Rep from * around. Join w/slst to top of first cluster.
RND 8: Ch8. Sk 5dc. *Dc in next cluster. Ch5. Sk 5 dc. Rep from * around. Join w/slst to 3rd ch of ch8. Fasten off ecru.
RND 9: Join multi color in same st as slst. Ch1. (Dc in each of the next 2 dc, behind ch5 sp. Dc in next dc, in front of ch5 sp. Dc in each of the next 2 dc behind ch5 sp.) *Sc in next dc. Rep bet () once. Rep from * around. Join w/slst to ch1.
RND 10: Ch1. (Sk 2dc. 5dc in next dc. Sk 2 dc.) *Sc in next sc. Rep bet () once. Rep from * around. Join w/slst to ch1.
RND 11: Ch8. *Dc in next sc. Ch5. Rep from * around. Join w/slst to 3rd ch of ch8. Fasten off multi.
RND 12: Join ecru in same st as slst. Ch1. (Dc in each of the next 2dc behind ch5 sp. Dc in next dc in front of ch5 sp. Dc in each of the next 2 dc behind ch5 sp.) *Sc in next dc. Rep bet () once. Rep from * around. Join w/slst to ch1.
RND 13: Rep RND 10.
RND 14: Rep RND 11. Do not fasten off.
RND 15: Rep RND 9.
RND 16: Rep RND 10.
RND 17: Slst into the next dc. Ch3. Dc in each of the next 4 dc. Sk next sc. *Dc in each of the next 5 dc. Sk next sc. Rep from * around. Join w/slst to top of ch3.
RND 18-22: Ch3. Dc in each dc around. Join w/slst to top of ch3.
RND 23: Ch3. Dc in next dc. Ch1. Sk 1dc. *Dc in each of the next 2 dc. Ch1. Sk next dc. Rep from * around. Join w/slst to top of ch3.
RND 24: Ch1. Sc in next dc. Sc in next ch1 sp. *Sc in each of the next 2 dc. Sc in next ch1 sp. Rep from * around. Join w/slst to ch1. Fasten off and weave ends into back of work.
Finishing Chains: Make 2 the same with multi colored yarn. Ch70. Fasten off. Weave through round 23 in opposite directions. Tie ends together and trim to within a half inch.
