This bag holder is fast and easy to make and you do not even need to punch holes in the margarine tub! Instead you use a brass ring to make a ridgid hole to pull the bags through.

Materials Needed
Worsted weight acrylic yarn in any color
1 margarine tub 3lb size clean and empty without the lid
Size H/8 or 5mm aluminum crochet hook
1 3" brass ring
Tapestry Needle for weaving in ends.

Yarn Thickness: 4mm
Gauge: 4dc = 1"
Finished Size: 6"hx5"w
Skill Level: Beginner

Instructions
RND 1: Top. Join yarn onto brass ring. Work 48 sc in ring. Join w/slst to first sc.

RND 2: Ch1. Sc in same st as slst. Ch4. Sk 3 sc. *Sc in next sc. Ch4. Sk 3 sc. Rep from * around. Join w/slst to first sc.

RND 3: Slst into the next ch4 sp. Ch3, 2dc, ch2, 3dc in same sp. 3dc, ch2, 3dc in each ch4 sp around. Join w/slst to top of ch3.

RND 4-10: Slst in each of the next 2 dc and into the next ch2 sp. Ch3, 2dc, ch2, 3dc in same sp. 3dc, ch2, 3dc in each ch2 sp around. Join w/slst to top of ch3. Fasten off and weave ends into back of work. Slip work over top of margarine tub so the bras ring is over the open end. Set aside.

RND 1 Bottom: Ch4. Join w/slst to first ch to form ring. Ch4. Dc in ring, ch1, 11 times. Join w/slst to 3rd ch of ch4. (12 spaces total)

RND 2: Slst into the next ch1 sp. Ch3, dc in same sp. Ch2. *2dc in next ch1 sp, ch2. Rep from * around. Join w/slst to top of ch3.

RND 3: Join to top in this round. Slst in next dc & in next ch2 sp. Ch3, 2dc in same sp. Ch1. Slst in a ch2 sp on RND 10 of top. Ch1. *3dc in next ch 2sp of bottom. Ch1. Slst in next ch2 sp on RND 10 of top. Ch1. Rep from * around. Join w/slst to top of ch3. Join w/slst to top of ch3 of bottom. Fasten off and weave ends into work. Now Stuff with bags!
