Designed By Julie A. BolducThis bookmark is just the right length to be a bracelet also. You could sew a button to the center and add a clasp to the ends. Oh yeah, it is also fast to make.
Materials Needed:
Size 10 crochet cotton in white.
Size 7 steel crochet hook
Tapestry needle for weaving in ends
Yarn Thickness: 10thread
Gauge: 10sc = 1"
Finished Size: 6" x 2"
Skill Level: Intermediate
Instructions
RND 1: Ch6. Join w/slst to first ch to form ring. Ch3, dc in ring. Ch3. *2dc in ring. Ch3. Rep from * 4 times more. Join w/slst to top of ch3.
RND 2: (Ch3. Dc in next dc. Ch3. Dc in each of the next 2 dc. Ch3, turn. *Ch3. Dc in next dc. Ch3. Dc in next dc. Dc in top of ch3, turn. Rep from * 7 times more.) Fasten off. Rejoin thread on RND 1 at the 3rd dc from the last one worked. This is still RND 2. Rep bet () once. Do not fasten off.
Now you will work around the whole thing. Do not turn from here on out.
Ch1. [2sc in first row. **Ch3. 2sc in next row. Rep from ** 7 times more.
3dc in next ch3 sp on round 1. Dc in next dc. Ch5. Slst in 4th ch from hook. Ch1. Dc in next dc. 3dc i next ch3 sp. 2sc in next row. ***Ch3. 2sc in next row. Rep from *** 7 times more. Sc in top of ch3. ch3. 3dc, ch5, slst in 4th ch from hook, ch1, 3dc in nextch3 sp.] Ch3. Sc in top of last dc. Repeat between [] for the other side. Ch3. Slst in ch1. Fasten off. Weave ends into work.
