This bookmark looks like it has beetles all lined up as if in a parade! Or maybe they look like ants??

Materials Needed:
Size 10 crochet cotton in white. Southmaid was used in the example.
Size 7 steel crochet hook
Tapestry needle for weaving in ends

Yarn Thickness: 10thread
Gauge: 8sc=1"
Finished Size: 7"Lx1¼"w
Skill Level: Beginner

Instructions
ROW 1: Ch16. Sc in 2nd ch from hook and in each ch across. Ch3, turn.

ROW 2: Sk very first sc. Dc in next sc. Ch2, sk 2sc, 4 times. Dc in each of the last 2 sc. Ch3, turn.

ROW 3: Sk very first dc. Dc in next dc. Ch3. Sc in next dc. 2dc, ch2, 2dc in next dc. Sc in next dc. Ch3. Dc in next dc. Dc in top of ch3. Ch1, turn.

ROW 4: Sc in each of the first 2 dc. Ch5. Sc in next ch2 sp. Ch5. Sc in next dc. Sc in top of ch3. Ch1, turn.

ROW 5: Sc in each of the first 2 sc. 5sc in next ch5 sp. Sc in next sc. 5sc in next ch5 sp. Sc in each of the last 2 sc. Ch3, turn.

ROW 6: Repeat ROW 2.

ROW 7: Repeat ROW 3.

ROW 8: Repeat ROW 4.

ROW 9: Repeat ROW 5.

ROW 10-37: Repeat ROWs 6-9 consecutively until you have 9 beetles! Or until your bookmark is as long as you want it. Fasten off and weave ends into back of work.
