Cross Center Coaster

This fast and easy coaster can be made in under a half hour and can be made bigger by using a size H/8 hook. The ending size is perfect for those large soup mugs!

Materials Needed
Small amount worsted weight acrylic yarn. In Cream or desired color.
Size G/6 aluminum crochet hook
Yarn needle for weaving in ends

Yarn Thickness: 4mm
Gauge: 5sc =1"
Finished Size: 4½"x4½"
Skill Level: Beginner

Instructions
RND 1: Ch4, join w/slst to first ch to form ring. Ch3. 2Dc in ring. Ch2. *3Dc in ring. Ch3. Rep from * 2 times more. Join w/slst to top of ch3.

RND 2: Slst in the next dc. Ch3, 2dc in same st. Ch3. Sc in next ch2 sp. Ch3. *3dc in 2nd dc in next shell. Ch3. Sc in next ch2 sp. Ch3. Rep from * around. Join w/slst to top of ch3.

RND 3: Slst in the next dc. Ch3, 2dc in same st. Ch3. Sc in next ch3 sp. Ch3. Sc in next ch3 sp. Ch3. *3dc in 2nd dc of next shell. Ch3. Sc in next ch3 sp. Ch3. Sc in next ch3 sp. Ch3. Rep from * around. Join w/slst to top of ch3.

RND 4: Slst in the next dc. Ch3, 2dc in same st. Ch3. Sc in next ch3 sp. 3dc, ch2, 3dc in next ch3 sp. 3dc in next ch3 sp. Ch3. *3dc in 2nd dc of next shell. Ch3. Sc in next ch3 sp. 3dc, ch2, 3dc in next ch3 sp. 3dc in next ch3 sp. Ch3. Rep from * around. Join w/slst to top of ch3.

RND 5: Ch1. Sc in each of the next 2 dc. 3dc in next ch3 sp. Sc in each of the next 3 dc. 2sc in next ch2 sp. Sc in each of the next 3 dc. 3sc in next ch3 sp. *Sc in each of the next 3 dc. 3dc in next ch3 sp. Sc in each of the next 3 dc. 2sc in next ch2 sp. Sc in each of the next 3 dc. 3sc in next ch3 sp. Rep from * around. Join w/slst to ch1. Fasten off and weave ends into back of work.
