Star Net Coaster

This coaster is fast and easy to make and would look great as part of your holiday decorating depending on the season and time of year. You could use silver thread for Christmas or a red white and blue thread for USA holidays.

Materials Needed
Size 10 Crochet Cotton in desired color Southmaid was used in the example
Size 7 steel crochet hook
Tapestry Needle

Yarn Thickness: 10thread
Gauge: 8sc=1"
Finished Size: 3" diameter
Skill Level: Beginner

Instructions

RND 1: Ch8. Join w/slst to first ch to form ring. Ch3. 19 dc in ring. Join w/slst to top of ch3.

RND 2: Ch6. Sk 3 dc. *Sc in next dc. Ch5. Sk 3 dc. Rep from * around. Join w/slst to first ch of ch6.

RND 3: Slst into the next ch5 sp. Ch3, 3dc, ch2, 4dc in same sp. Ch1. *4dc, ch2, 4dc in next ch5 sp. Ch1. Rep from * around. Join w/slst to top of ch3.

RND 4: Ch3. (3dc, ch2, 3dc in next ch2 sp. Sk 2 dc. Dc in next dc. Ch2.) *Dc in next dc. Rep bet () once. Rep from * around. Join w/slst to top of ch3.

RND 5: Ch3. (3dc, ch2, 3dc in next ch2 sp. Sk 3 dc. Dc in next dc. Ch3. Sc in next ch2 sp. Ch3.) *Dc in next dc. Rep bet () once. Rep from * around. Join w/slst to top of ch3.
