October Hexagon Motif

This hexagon is for October because it has a spider web in the middle surrounded by black and orange stripes. Of course you can use what ever colors you like for what ever month you want.

Materials Needed
Small amount worsted weight acrylic yarn in 3 colors, white, pumpkin and black
Size H/8 or 5mm aluminum crochet hook
Yarn Needle for weaving in ends

Yarn Thickness: 4mm
Gauge: 7sc = 2"
Finished Size: 6¼" from point to point, 5½" from side to side
Skill Level: Beginner to Intermediate

Instructions
RND 1: w/white, Ch6. Join w/slst to first ch to form ring. Ch1, sc in same st as slst. Ch2. *Sc in next ch. Ch2. Rep from * around. Join w/slst to first sc. (6 ch2lps)

RND 2: Ch1, sc in same st as slst. Ch4. *Sc in next sc. Ch4. Rep from * around. Join w/slst to first sc. (6 ch4 lps.)

RND 3: Ch5, dc in same st as slst. Ch4. *Dc, ch2, dc in next sc. Ch4. Rep from * around. Join w/slst to 3rd ch of ch5. Fasten off white.

RND 4: Join black to a ch2 sp. Ch1, 2sc, ch2 in same sp. 4sc in next ch4 sp. *2sc, ch2, 2sc in next ch2 sp. 4sc in next ch4 sp. Rep from * around. Join w/slst to first sc. Fasten off black.

RND 5: Join orange to any ch2 sp. Ch3, dc, ch2, 2dc in same sp. (Sk next 2dc. Dc in each of the next 4 sc. ) *2dc, ch2, 2dc in next ch2 sp. Rep bet () once. Rep from * around. Join w/slst to top of ch3. Fasten off orange.

RND 6: Join black to same st as slst. Sc in same st and in next dc. (Sc, ch1, sc in next ch2 sp. Sc in each of the next 6 dc.) *Sc in each of the next 2 dc. Rep bet () once. rep from * around. Join w/slst to first sc. Fasten off and weave all ends into back of work.
