I am not sure if this stitch existed before. It seems to me I have seen it some place but I cannot recall where so I cannot claim it to be my own.
The abbreviation is (fbb) which stands for Front & Back Bobble because it is worked in the front lp then the back lp of each st.

Yo, insert hook in back lp of next st, draw up a lp, yo and draw through 2 lps on hook, yo, insert hook in front lp of same st from the inside to the front, not from the front of the stitch. Yo draw up a lp, yo draw through 2 lps on hook,* yo and draw through all 3 lps on hook. This completes the stitch.

When the instructions say to fbb, ch2, fbb in the same st, do exactly that. Repeat the above instructions twice in the same two lps of the same st.

Random Quick Tip!

Christmas Card Gift Tags
I am sure you have heard this one before. Use your old Christmas cards as gift tags this year. Just use cookie cutters to cut the front of the cards into fun shapes, punch a hole in the top, use colorful 1/8" wide ribbon for hanging and presto! A great gift tag! Better yet! Get your kids on the action of making these gift tags. You could make them while eating holiday sweets and drinking hot chocolate. What a fun time this would be!
