Lacy Honeycomb Dishcloth
Designed By Julie A. BolducThis is not your traditional dishcloth! Who says it has to be square or a rectangle! If you don't use it as a dishcloth, you can always use it as a light duty hot pad to set things on. Just don't use it as a potholder. You could also make it with acrylic yarn as an afghan motif or with fine thread as a snowflake.
Materials Needed
Small amount worsted weight cotton yarn.
Size H/8 5mm aluminum crochet hook
Yarn Needle
Yarn Thickness: 3mm
Gauge: 4dc=1"
Finished Size: 7" diam from side to side
Skill Level: Beginner
Instructions
RND 1: Ch4, join w/slst to first ch to form ring. Ch3. 17 dc in ring. Join w/slst to top of ch3.
RND 2: Ch3. Dc in same st as slst. Ch3. Sk next dc. 2dc in next dc. *2dc in next dc. Ch3. Sk next dc. 2dc in next dc. Rep from * around. Join w/slst to top of ch3.
RND 3: Ch1. Sc in next dc. (2dc, ch3, 2dc in next ch3 sp.) Sc in each of the next 2 dc. Ch3. *Sc in each of the next 2 dc. Rep bet () once. Sc in each of the next 2 dc. Ch3. Rep from * around. Join w/slst to ch1.
RND 4: Slst in next sc and in each of the next 2 dc. Slst into the next ch3 sp. Ch3, 6dc in same sp. Ch2. Sc in next ch3 sp Ch2. *7dc in next ch3 sp. Ch2. Sc in next ch3 sp. Ch2. Rep from * around. Join w/slst to top of ch3.
RND 5: Ch3. Dc in same st as slst. Dc in next dc. 2dc in next dc. Dc in next dc. 2dc in next dc. Dc in next dc. 2dc in next dc. Sk next ch2 sp. 2dc in next sc. Sk next ch2 sp. *2dc in next dc. Dc in next dc. 2dc in next dc. Dc in next dc. 2dc in next dc. Dc in next dc. 2dc in next dc. Sk next ch2 sp. 2dc in next sc. Sk next ch2 sp. Rep from * around. Join w/slst to top of ch3.
RND 6: Ch1. Sc in each dc around. Join w/slst to ch1. Fasten off, weave ends into back of work.
