Creamsicle Dishcloth

This dishcloth starts out in rows then is worked in the round for a different approach. You can use this dishcloth pattern for a granny square by switching to acrylic worsted weight yarn. All 4 sides have an equal number of stitches.

Materials Needed
Worsted weight cotton yarn in any 2 colors
Size H/8 or 5mm aluminum crochet hook
Yarn needle for weaving in ends

Yarn Thickness: 3mm
Gauge: 4dc = 1"
Finished Size: 6½"x6½"
Skill Level: Beginner

Instructions
ROW 1: Ch26. Dc in 8th ch from hook. *Ch2. Sk 2 chs. Dc in next ch. Rep from * across. Ch5, turn.

ROW 2: Dc in next dc. (2dc in next ch2 sp, dc in next dc, 5 times.) Ch2. Sk 2 chs. Dc in next dc. Ch5, turn.

ROW 3-9: Dc in each of the next 16 dc. Ch2. Sk next 2 chs. Dc in next dc. Ch5, turn.

ROW 10: Dc in next dc. (Ch2. Sk 2 dc. Dc in next dc. 5 times.) Ch2. Sk 2 chs. Dc in next ch. Ch1. Fasten off.

Now you will work in the round.

RND 1: W/ecru. Join yarn in same corner sp as you fastened off. You will be working down the side first. Ch3. Work 6dc in same corner sp. Work 2 dc in each sp across to next corner. Work 7 dc in next corner sp. Work 3 dc in each of the next 2 sps. Work 4 dc in next sp. Work 3 dc in each of the next 2 sps. Work 7 dc in next corner sp. Work 2dc in each sp across to next corner. Work 7 dc in next corner sp. Work 3dc in each of the next 2 sps. Work 4dc in next sp. Work 3dc in each of the last 2 sps. Join w/slst to top of ch3. Fasten off.

RND 2: Join Orange Sherbert in same st as slst. Ch1. Sc in same st. 2sc in each of the next 6 sts. Sc in each of the next 16 sts. *2sc in each of the next 7 sts. Sc in each of the next 16 sts. Rep from * around. Join w/slst to ch1. Fasten off, weave ends into back of work.
