This dishcloths starts out in rows then is worked in the round for a different approach. You can use this dishcloth pattern for a granny square by switching to acrylic worsted weight yarn. All 4 sides have an equal number of stitches.

Fix Kid's Clothes
If your kid's clothes have holes, one way to be able to wear them still is to applique cute cutout shape onto the hole and put a liner on the back side of the fabric. You can get the shapes by using cookie cutters as a template. Then just use the satin stitch on your sewing machine to applique the patch on. If the hole is in a place where the machine cannot reach, you can use a fusible web product to fuse the patch onto the fabric then use a hand satin stitch to cover the edges. Or you can use a fabric paint to cover the edges.
