Filet Square Doily
Designed by Julie A. BolducThere are not very many filet doily patterns that are worked in the round but here is one I hope you enjoy. This doily would also be a great motif used in a table cloth or in a bedspread. It would be a long term project that you could take with you to make up the squares then sew them together when you have enough made.
Materials Needed
Size 10 Crochet Cotton or bedspread weight cotton in desired color.
Size8 steel crochet hook
Tapestry Needle
Thread Thickness: 10thread
Gauge: 21dc=2"
Finished Size: 7"x7"

Instructions
RND 1: Ch6, join w/slst to first ch to form ring. Ch5. *Dc in ring. Ch2. Rep from * 6 times more. Join w/slst to 3rd ch of ch5. You should now have 8 ch2 sps around.
RND 2: Ch5. *Dc, ch2, dc in next ch2 sp. Ch2. Dc in next dc. 2dc in next ch2 sp. Dc in next dc. Ch2. Rep from * around. Join w/slst to 3rd ch of ch5.
