Irish Pineapple Filet Doily

This doily combines versions of 3 types of crochet techniques. Irish Crochet, Filet Crochet and pineapples. It works up fairly quickly. You could complete it in a couple of evenings or if you like to crochet all day, it will take just a few hours.

Materials Needed
Small amount lilac size 10 crochet cotton DMC Traditions was used in the example
Size 7 steel crochet hook
Tapestry Needle

Thread Thickness: 10thread
Gauge: 8sc=1"
Finished Size: 8" from side to side
Skill Level: Intermediate

Instructions
RND 1: Ch5. Join w/slst to first ch to form ring. Ch3, dc in ring. Ch2. *2dc in ring. Ch2. Rep from * 6 times more. You should now have 8 ch2 spaces around. Join w/slst to top of ch3.

RND 2: Slst to the next ch2 sp. Ch3, dc in same sp. Ch3, 2dc in same sp. Work the fol in each ch2 sp around. 2dc, ch3, 2dc. Join w/slst to top of ch3.

RND 3: Slst to the next ch3 sp. Slst in the first ch. Sc in same sp. Ch12. Slst in 6th ch from hook. Ch3. *Sc in next ch3 sp. Ch12. Slst in 6th ch from hook. Ch3. Rep from * around. Join w/slst to first sc.

RND 4: Ch3. (10dc, ch3, 10 dc in ch6 lp. 20dc shell made) *Dc in next sc. (10dc, ch3, 10dc in next ch6 lp. 20dc shell made) Rep from * around. Join w/slst to top of ch3.

RND 5: Slst in each of the first 10dc and in the next ch. Sc in same ch3 sp. Ch15. *Sc in next ch3 sp of next 20dc shell. Ch15. Rep from * around. Join w/slst to first sc.

RND 6: Slst into the next ch. Ch4. (Sk next ch. Dc in next ch. Ch1. six times) Sk next ch. Dc in next ch. Ch5. *Sk next sc. Dc in next ch. (Sk next ch. Dc in next ch. Ch1. six times) Sk next ch. Dc in next ch. Ch5. Rep from * around. Join w/slst to 3rd ch of ch4.

RND 7: *Sc in the next ch1 sp. (Ch5. Sc in next ch1 sp. six times) 11dc in next ch5 sp. Rep from * around. Join w/slst to first sc.

RND 8: Slst in each of the first 3 chs. Sc in same ch5 lp. (Ch2. Sc in next ch5 lp. five times) Dc in next dc. (Ch3. Sk next dc. Sc in next dc. four times). Ch3. Sk next dc. RND 14: *(2sc in next ch2 sp. Ch4. Slst in 4th ch from hook. three times) 2sc in next ch2 sp. Work the foll in the next ch2 sp. (Dc, ch3, dc, ch3, dc, ch5, dc, ch3, dc, ch3, dc) (2sc in next ch2 sp. Ch4. Slst in 4th ch from hook. three times) 2sc in next ch2 sp. Work the foll in the next sc. (3dc, ch3, slst in 3rd ch from hook, 3dc.) Rep from * around. Join w/slst to first sc. Fasten off and weave ends into back of work.

Iron flat. You may need to spray on a little spray starch so it will keep it's shape but still have it drape well.
