Little Fridgies
Designed By Julie A. BolducThese little fridgies are fast and fun to make and you could make them for any time of the year. Just change the color of yarn and the type of novelty buttons or embellishments you use.
Materials Needed
Scraps of worsted weight acrylic yarn in colors of choice.
Assorted novelty buttons or other embellishments
Tape magnets that are sticky or glue on type
Hot glue and gun if using glue on type magnets
Size H/8 or 5mm aluminum crochet hook
Yarn needle for weaving in ends
Yarn Thickness: 4mm
Gauge: 4dc = 1"
Finished Size: 1½"x1½"
Skill Level: Beginner
Instructions
RND 1: Ch3. 12 dc in 3rd ch from hook. Join w/slst to top of first dc.
RND 2: Ch1. Sc in same st as slst. Sc in next st. 2sc in next st. Ch2. *2sc in next st. Sc in next st. 2sc in next st. Ch2. Rep from * around. Join w/slst to ch1. Fasten off. Weave ends to back of work.
Finishing : Make several and decorate then glue on magnet to the back. As you may have noticed in the picture. The yellow one is slightly larger. I used a Size H hook for that one. The other 2 were made with a size G hook. You can actually use what ever hook size you want for what ever size you want. You can also just make a bunch of these and lace them together to make a pillow, placemat or anything really.
