Harvest Square

This square is fast and easy to make and uses the colors you would find during harvest but you could use any colors for any season. This Square is also called the November Square in the Granny Square book available for the Kindle Fire.
Materials Needed
Worsted weight acrylic yarn in orange.
Worsted weight acrylic yarn in green
Worsted weight acrylic yarn in yellow
Size H/8 or 5mm aluminum crochet hook
Yarn needle for weaving in ends
Yarn Thickness: 4mm
Gauge: 4dc = 1"
Finished Size: 6"x6"
Skill Level: Beginner
Instructions
RND 1: With orange. Ch6. Join w/slst to first ch to form ring. Ch6. Sc in ring, ch5, 3 times. Join w/slst to first ch of ch6.
RND 2: Ch1. *2sc, ch2, 2sc in next ch5 sp. Ch1. Rep from * around. Join w/slst to first sc.
RND 3: Ch3. Dc in next sc. (Dc, ch4, dc in next ch2 corner sp. Dc in each of the next 2 sc. Ch1.) *Dc in each of the next 2 sc. Rep bet () once. Rep from * around. Join w/slst to top of ch3. Fasten off orange.
RND 4: Join green in same st as slst. Ch1. Sc in each of the next 2 dc. (2sc, ch2, 2sc in next ch4 corner sp. Sc in each of the next 3 dc. Sc in next ch1 sp.) *Sc in each of the next 3 dc. Rep bet () once. Rep from * around. Join w/slst to ch1.
RND 5: Ch4. (Sk next sc. Dc in next sc. Ch1. Sk next sc. Dc in next sc. 2dc, ch2, 2dc in next ch2 corner sp. Dc in next sc. Ch1. Sk next sc. Dc in next sc. Ch1. Sk next sc. Dc in each of the next 2 sc.) *Dc in next sc. Ch1. Rep bet () once. Rep from * around. Join w/slst to 3rd ch of ch4. Fasten off green.
RND 6: Join yellow in same st as slst. Ch1. (Sc in next ch1 sp, sc in next dc, twice. Sc in each of the next 2 dc. Sc, ch2, sc in next ch2 corner sp. Sc in next dc. Sc in each of the next 3 dc. Sc in next ch1 sp, sc in next dc, twice. Sc in next dc.) *Sc in next dc. Rep bet () once. Rep from * around. Join w/slst to ch1.
RND 7: Ch3. Dc in each of the next 7 sc. (2dc, ch2, 2dc in next ch2 corner sp. Dc in each of the next 9 sc.) *Dc in each of the next 8 sc. Rep bet ()once. Rep from * around. Join w/slst to top of ch3. Fasten off and weave ends into back of work.

Random Quick Tip!
Stringing Beads Before StitchingIf you crochet with beads, put the beads in a shallow dish to make it easier to scoop them up one or two at a time. When working with beads, most of the time you will need to put the beads onto the thread or yarn first before starting with crocheting.
