Spiderweb & Spider Sun Catcher

II figured since Halloween comes every year I would create a spiderweb and spider. I think the spider looks real.

Materials Needed:
1 Brass ring 7" diameter
Size 20 Crochet cotton White Cebelia Was used
Size 10 Crochet cotton Black Grandma's Best Was used.
Polyester Fiber Fill
Size 11 Steel crochet hook
Size 7 Steel Crochet Hook
Tapestry Needle

Thread Size: 20thread and 10thread
Gauge: Size 20 thread=12sc=1" with size 11 hook. Size 10 Thread=10sc=1" with size 7 hook.
Finished Size: 7" diameter
Skill Level: Intermediate

Instructions
With White size 20 thread and 11 hook.
RND 1:Ch12, join w/slst to first ch to form ring. Ch5, *Dc in next ch. Ch2. Rep from * around. You should now have 12 dc around. Join w/slst to 3rd ch of ch 5.

RND 2: Ch7. *Dc in dc, ch4. Rep from * around. Join w/slst to 3rd ch of ch 7.

RND 3: Ch 9. *Dc in dc, ch6. Rep from * around. Join w/slst to 3rd ch of ch 9.

RND 4: Ch11. *Dc in dc, ch8. Rep from * around. Join w/slst to 3rd ch of ch 11.

RND 5: Ch 13. *Dc in dc, ch10. Rep from * around. Join w/slst to 3rd ch of ch 13.

RND 6: Ch15. *Dc in dc, ch12. Rep from * around. Join w/slst to 3rd ch of ch 15.

RND 7: Ch17. *Dc in dc, ch14. Rep from * around. Join w/slst to 3rd ch of ch 17.

RND 8: Ch19. *Dc in dc, ch16. Rep from * around. Join w/slst to 3rd ch of ch 19.

RND 9: Ch21. *Dc in dc, ch18. Rep from * around. Join w/slst to 3rd ch of ch 21.

RND 10: Ch23. *Dc in dc, ch20. Rep from * around. Join w/slst to 3rd ch of ch 23. Attach to ring.

RND 11: Ch3. Join to brass ring with sc. Ch22. *Sc in brass ring. *Dc in dc, ch22. Rep from * around. Join w/slst to top of ch3. Fasten off. Weave center thread into work. Make hanger out of finishing thread. Secure knot with glue if necessary. Set aside and make spider.

How to dec.
Yo, insert hook in next st, pull up a lp, yo and pull through 2 lps on hook. Insert hook in next st, pull up a lp, yo and pull thread through all 3 lps on hook.

Spider
With Black thread and size 7 hook.

Abdomen
RND 1: Ch 4, join w/slst to first ch to form ring. Ch2. work 11hdc in ring. Join w/slst to top of ch2.

RND 2: Ch2. Hdc in same st as slst. Work 2hdc in each st around. Join w/slst to top of ch2.

RND 3: Ch2. Hdc in each st around. Join w/slst to top of ch2.

RND 4: Ch2. *Dec. Hdc in next st. Rep from * around. Join w/slst to top of ch2. Stuff Abdomen

RND 5: Ch1. Sc in same st as slst. *Sk next st. Sc in next st. Rep from * around. You should end up with 6sts around.

Thorax
ROW 1: Ch1, sc in same st as slst. Ch3. Sc in next st. Ch1, turn.

ROW 2: Slst into ch3 lp. Ch3, 11dc in same lp.

Legs:
*Ch8, slst in 2nd ch from hook. Sc in each of the next 6 chs. Sc in next dc. Rep from * 1 time more. **Ch8, slst in 2nd ch from hook. Sc in each of the next 6 chs. Dc in next dc. Rep from ** one more time. 3dc in each of the next 2 dc. Take hook out of lp and insert into first dc of the first 3dc group. Then put hook back into lp on the 6th dc. Pull lp through first dc. Dc in next st. Ch8, slst in 2nd ch from hook. Sc in each of the next 6 chs. Dc in next dc.

***Ch8, slst in 2nd ch from hook. Sc in each of the next 6 chs. Sc in next dc.
Rep from *** 2 more times. Join w/slst to top of ch3. Fasten off and weave ends into work. Sew to spider web hiding the stitches behind the spider.
