Floral Easter Wreath

Instructions
RND 1: Ch36. Join w/slst to first ch to form large ring. Ch1, sc in same st as slst. Sk 2 chs. 5dc in next ch. Sk 2 chs. *Sc in next ch. Sk 2 chs. 5dc in next ch. Sk 2 chs. Rep from * around. Join w/slst to first sc.

RND 2: Ch3, 4dc in same st as slst. Sk 2 dc. Sc in next dc. Sk 2 dc. *5dc in next sc. Sk 2 dc. Sc in next dc. Sk 2 dc. Rep from * around Join w/slst to top of ch3.

RND 3: Slst into each of the next 2 dc. Ch1, sc in same dc. 5dc in next sc. Sk 2 dc. *Sc in next dc. Sk 2dc. 5dc in next sc. Sk 2 dc. Rep from * around, join w/slst to first sc.

RND 4 to what ever: Rep RNDs 2 & 3 consecutively until your tube is 27" long. Fasten off leaving an end about 36" long for sewing ends of tube together. Weave the other end in.

Stuff the tube somewhat tightly, just so you can shape it into a circle. Sew the ends closed using a lacing stitch. You can stuff more stuffing in the section you are stitching on before you complete it to fill in the gap at the seam. Set wreath aside for now.

Wreath Back Support:
Step 1: If you do not have a cardboard pizza circle, you can make your own. Make it 10 7/8" in diameter. Find the center of the card board circle, then with your compass, draw a circle about 1" in from the edge.

Step 2:Cut out the inner circle either with an exacto knife or very sharp scissors. I used an exacto knife and self healing mat.

Step 3: Cover the cardboard with the yellow yarn as follows. With a piece of tape, tape an end of the yarn to the circle and wrap the yarn all the way around the ring to completely cover it. NOTE: I made a small ball of yarn to make it easier to wrap the yarn around the ring. This took me about 45 minutes to do.

STEP 4: Sew the Cabone ring to the edge of the yarn covered ring for the hanger.

STEP 5: Hot glue the ring to the back side of your wreath making sure the Cabone ring is on the outside facing you so it can hang flat against the wall. Set Wreath aside for now.

Make the Ribbon & Bead Strand Bow:
Step 1:If you have a bow maker, use it to make your bead and ribbon bow according to your directions for using the bow maker. Use the 12" piece of grosgrain ribbon to tie all layers of ribbon together in the middle. Keep the 12" ribbon ends long for now. You can make your bow how ever you want to but I used a simple home made bow maker to make my bow.

NOTE: Of course, you can use what ever bow you want. Be Creative!

STEP 2:Wrap the ends of your 12" ribbon around the wreath at the top of the wreath going from the top side of the back support around to the bottom side of the back support. Glue the ends in place. You may have to trim your ends to fit perfectly, You should test the length first before gluing.

Decorate the wreath with eggs and flowers. Step 1:Glue your 3 eggs onto the wreath where you want them then arrange your flowers around them.

STEP 2:Cut all of your flowers stems short to no more than 1½" long.

Step 3:Dry fit all of your flowers onto your wreath by poking them through the holes that are made by the 5dc's in the stitches. These holes are the perfect size for poking the stems through.

STEP 4:Once you like your arrangement, glue them in place with your hot glue one at at time. Take a flower out, put glue on the stem then stick it back in. That way, the flowers will be where you want them.

** I used a single 12oz bag of fiberfill for this project and the Rippled Rainbow Easter Egg Pillow.
*** I used a bouquet of daffodils and a bouquet of Spring Flowers from Wal-Mart. The spring flowers had a few daisies, irises and something that looks sort of like a ruffled tulip.
**** I used empty plastic eggs that can be filled but you can use what ever pretty eggs you want.
