Assembly
Step 1: Heat up your glue gun.
Step 2: Turn bottom of canister upside down so the bottom is facing up. Place the bottom of your crochet work over the bottom of the canister and turn whole thing over.
Step 3: Lightly stuff inside the crocheted cover concentrating the stuffing in the puffy areas around the canister. Work with it until you achieve the look you want.
Step 4: Hot glue the sc stitches at top edge of cover to just under the rim leaving room for the lid. When you are done with the sc stitches, glue the rest of the upper edge of the crochet work to the container.
Step 5: Lid: Put some hot glue on the top of your lid and place some stuffing on top of the hot glue. Just use a little bit of stuffing, just enough to make the cover puffy a little bit so it keeps it's pumpkin shape.
Step 7: Make a hole in the center of the stuffing on the lid to expose the plastic of the lid. Put some hot glue on the inside center of the crocheted cover and stick to the top of the exposed plastic of the lid.
Step 8: Glue the cover to the outside of the rim of the lid like you did the bottom cover but make sure the dc sections of the top cover over hang the edge of the lid so it will overlap the bottom of the pumpkin. Place lid on pumpkin lining up the dc sections of the top and bottom of the pumpkin.
