Beaded Spring Choker

This fast and easy choker would look wonderful using any combination of colors of beads and size 10 crochet thread.

Materials Needed
Size 10 crochet cotton. Aunt Lydia's 100% Mercerized Cotton Crochet color 226(ecru) in size 10 was used in the example
31 red size 6/0 seed beads. You can use 4mm round faceted beads or pearls as well.
Size 7 steel crochet hook
Tapestry Needle for weaving in ends and stringing on beads
Clasp of choice

Yarn Thickness: 10thread
Gauge: 10sc = 1"
Finished Size: 15½" including clasp
Skill Level: Beginner

Instructions
ROW 1: String all beads on to thread. You can string on more if you want a longer necklace or choker. Ch6. Join w/slst to first ch to form ring. *Ch3. Dc in 3rd ch from hook but before you complete the dc, pull up a bead just before you pull through the last 2 lps on hook. Dc in same 3rd ch from hook. Rep from * until you have pulled up all beads.

ROW 2: Ch6. Join w/slst to 6th ch from hook. 2Sc around post of next dc.. *Ch2. 2sc around post of next dc. Rep from * across to other ch6 lp. Slst to first ch6 lp. Fasten off, weave ends into back of work. Attach clasp to ch6 lps on ends.

Updated: May 15, 2016. I actually crocheted a new choker using Myuki Brand red size 6/0 Seed Beads. (Rocailles) and Aunt Lydia's 100% Mercerized Crochet Cotton. I took a new photo and updated the pattern a bit.
