Instructions
  1. String a total of 320 beads on first in the following order. 2 clear, 2 blue. Make sure every time you add blue, the 2 blue beads are the same shade of blue. I had clear blue, solid light blue and dark blue that I used in that order. I used 2 of the same shade each time I added 2 blues. So the actual order of colors I added were: 2 clear, 2clear blue, 2solid light blue, 2dark blue. Don't worry if the blues do not come out even at the end just as long as you are adding 2 of each value throughout. It will still look wonderful.
  2. Then string on 40 of the clear blue.

RND 1: Ch40. Being careful not to twist chain, join w/slst to first ch to form ring. Ch3. Dbdc in next ch. *Dc in next ch. Dbdc in next ch. Rep from * around. Join w/slst to top of ch3.

RND 2-9: Ch3. Dbdc in next st. *Dc in next dc. Dbdc in next st. Rep from * around. Join w/slst to top of ch3. At the end of RND 9. Fasten off and weave ends into back of work. RND 9 is the top of the bag.

Bottom
Using a 3 foot length of the crochet cotton and the fine needle, Whip stitch the bottom closed adding a clear silver lined bead with each stitch. You should need 20 beads for this step.

Button & Loop Closure
Loop: Make a loop with the following beads strung on the crochet cotton. 1 clear blue, 3 clear, 1 clear blue, 3 clear, 1 clear blue. Attach to top back of bag and weave ends securely into work.

Button: With the cotton, string on a clear bead, the large bead and another clear bead. Bring the thread back through the large bead and first clear bead. Stitch to the top front of the bag. Weave ends securely into back of work.

Strap: With cotton and fine needle, string on a total of 141 beads in the following order. 1 clear blue, 9 clear, 14 times. Add one more clear blue bead. If you want to make the strap longer, just repeat with more beads. Sew each end of the strap to the bag on the sides. Weave ends to the inside of the bag.
