Large Wedding Tea light Candleholder
Designed By Julie A. BolducThis tea light candleholder is meant to be used with a battery operated tea light which you can order online or find in specialty craft stores. It would look great in any holiday decoration or at a wedding. You can use any color crochet cotton you would like to match the season or occasion you are using them for.
Materials Needed
J&P Coats Metallic Knit-Cro-Sheen in Silver & white.
Size 7 steel crochet hook
Tapestry Needle
Battery operated tea light
Yarn Thickness: 10thread
Gauge: 8sc = 1"
Finished Size: 3.5"

Instructions
RND 1: Ch6. Join w/slst to first ch to form ring. Ch6. Tr in ring, ch2, 11 times. Join w/slst to 4th ch of ch6. (12 ch2 sps)
RND 2: Ch4. Dc in next ch2 sp. Ch1. *Dc in next tr. Ch1. Dc in next ch2 sp. Ch1. Rep from * around. Join w/slst to 3rd ch of ch4.
RND 3: Ch4. *Dc in next dc. Ch1. Rep from * around. Join w/slst to 3rd ch of ch4.
RND 4: Slst into the first ch1 sp. Ch1. 5dc in next ch1 sp. *Sc in next ch1 sp. 5dc in next ch1 sp. Rep from * around. Join w/slst to ch1. Fasten off.
RND 5: Join thread to ch2 sp of RND 1 on back side of work on right hand side of dc, with the right side facing you. Ch5. Dc in left hand side of same ch2 sp. Ch2. Work a dc, ch2, on either side of each dc in each ch2 sp around. You should end up with as many dc as you ended up with in RND 2. Join w/slst to 3rd ch of ch5.
RND 6: Slst into the next ch2 sp. Ch5, dc in same sp. Ch2. Sk next ch2 sp. *Dc, ch2, dc in next ch2 sp. Ch2. Sk next ch2 sp. Rep from * around. Join w/slst to 3rd ch of ch5.
RND 7: Slst into the next ch2 sp. Ch3, 2dc, ch2, 3dc in same sp. Sc in next ch2 sp. *3dc, ch2, 3dc in next ch2 sp. Sc in next ch2 sp. Rep from * around. Join w/slst to top of ch3. Fasten off and weave ends into back of work.
RND 8: Join thread in any skipped ch2 sp of RND 5 working behind RNDs 6 & 7. Ch5. Dc in same sp. Ch2. *Dc, ch2, dc in next skipped ch2 sp. Ch2. Rep from * around. Join w/slst to 3rd ch of ch5.
RND 9: Slst into the first ch 2 sp. Ch5, dc in same sp. Ch2. Sk next ch2 sp. *Dc, ch2, dc in next sp. Ch2. Sk next ch2 sp. Rep from * around. Join w/slst to 3rd ch of ch5.
RND 10: Slst into the first ch2 sp. Ch3, 2dc, ch2, 3dc in same ch2 sp. Sc in next ch2 sp. *3dc, ch2, 3dc in next ch2 sp. Sc in next ch2 sp. Rep from * around. Join w/slst to top of ch3. Fasten off and weave ends into back of work.
RND 11: Join thread in any skipped ch2 sp of RND 8 working behind RNDs 9 & 10. Ch5. Dc in same sp. Ch3. *Dc, ch2, dc in next skipped ch2 sp. Ch3. Rep from * around. Join w/slst to 3rd ch of ch5.
RND 12: Slst into the first ch 2 sp. Ch5, dc in same sp. Ch2. Sk next ch2 sp. *Dc, ch2, dc in next sp. Ch2. Sk next ch2 sp. Rep from * around. Join w/slst to 3rd ch of ch5.
RND 13: Slst into the first ch2 sp. Ch3, 2dc, ch2, 3dc in same ch2 sp. Sc in next ch2 sp. *3dc, ch2, 3dc in next ch2 sp. Sc in next ch2 sp. Rep from * around. Join w/slst to top of ch3. Fasten off and weave ends into back of work.
RND 14: Join thread in any ch3 sp of RND 11 working behind RNDs 12 & 13. Ch6.. Tr, ch2, tr in same sp. Ch3. *Tr, ch2, tr, ch2, tr in next ch3 sp. Ch3. Rep from * around. Join w/slst to 3rd ch of ch4.
RND 15: Slst into the next ch2 sp. Ch1. Sc in next tr. Sc in next ch2 sp. 7dc in next ch3 sp. *Sc in next ch2 sp. Sc in next tr. Sc in next ch2 sp. 7dc in next ch3 sp. Rep from * around. Join w/slst to top of ch3. Fasten off and weave ends into back of work. Turn on tea light and place inside center of candleholder.
