Bulb Sachet Ornament
Designed By Julie A. BolducThis sachet ornament would look great done in a solid color as well as a variegated thread. You can stuff it with polyester stuffing as shown in the photo, then infuse it with a spray scent, or you can stuff it with potpourri. If you have an artificial tree, and you have any access to fir trees, you could cut a few tips off the branches of the tree and use the needles to stuff it.

* NOTE: Cut just the tips from the branches of the fir tree, this will actually help make the tree fuller because every where you "tip" the tree, you will get more than one new branch that comes out. You can dry the needles on a baking sheet in a low oven for 8 hours or if you have a gas stove, they will dry in 24 hours with just the pilot light. Make sure, when you tip a tree, you either own the tree or you get permission from someone to cut tips from their tree. In Maine, it is illegal to tip trees that you do not own without a permit and written permission from the landowner. You can also use fir boughs or scraps from a Christmas tree or wreath that you can buy from a florest or road side stand during the holidays.
