Beaded Stuffed Star Ornament

This ornament has red white and green beads on it and is made with Baby Sport Pompadour yarn so it has a little sparkle to it. It would look great on your Christmas Tree!
Materials Needed
Baby Sport Pompadour acrylic yarn in white
35 8mm clear red faceted beads
2 5mm clear green faceted beads
2 25mm clear red starburst beads
Polyester Fiber fill
Size H/8 aluminum crochet hook
Yarn needle for weaving in ends and for stringing on beads
Yarn Thickness: 4mm
Gauge: 4dc = 1"
Finished Size: 3¾" diam
Skill Level: Beginner
RND 1: Do No String on beads yet. First side. Ch4. Work 15 dc in 4th ch from hook. Join w/slst to first dc.
RND 2: Ch1. (3dc, ch1, 3dc in next dc. Sc in next dc.) *Sc in next dc. Rep bet () once. Rep from * around. Join w/slst to ch1. Fasten off. Weave ends into back of work. Set aside.
RND 1&2: String the 35 8mm beads on yarn. Rep rounds 1 & 2 of first star. Do not fasten off.
RND 3: Place both stars together wrong sides facing each other. Working through both thicknesses throughout, [(Sc in next dc, pull up a bead. ch1, three times.) Sc in ch1 sp, pull up a bead, ch1. Rep bet () once. Sc in next sc.] *Sc in next sc. Rep bet {} once. Stuff star before closing. Rep from * around. Join w/slst to first sc. Fasten off and weave ends into back of work.
Finishing Decorate: Use yarn, starburst beads, small green beads to decorate the front and back of the star. Put a starburst bead and a green bead on the center of each side as shown in the picture. Attach ornament hanger of choice.

Random Quick Tip!
Stiffening DoiliesTo lightly stiffen doilies, use a hot iron for cotton thread and a slightly damp cloth and first iron the doily then spray lightly with spray starch. Cover the doily with the cloth when ironing after spraying with starch so the iron will not stick to doily.
