Assembly
Step 1:Fold work in half so the seam where you started each round is not on the fold but anywhere else. Also make sure the back sides are facing each other. This is will be the back of the pillow when you are done. You will work on the inside circle of the pillow first. Lay the pillow in front of you so the inside circle is on the bottom and your joined seam is on the back side. Pick up the bottom left corner and join the burgundy yarn through both layers of the starting chain. Ch1. Work 1 sc in each st across the inside circle. There should be 48 sc in all because when you fold it, there will be one stitch on each end of the fold which you will not stitch on. When you are done, fasten off and weave ends into inside of work.

View of pillow as it should be set up for stitching closed.

Step 2: Lay the work down in front of you again in the same way. Join burgundy yarn in upper right corner on the stitch to the left of the fold through both layers, (all 4 loops) Sc in each st across but as you are working, stuff the pillow tightly. This is the best way to work, it is easier to stuff it tightly this way. When you get to the other end, Fasten off and weave ends into back of work.
