Neko Potholder Pattern
Designed by Julie A. BolducThis cute potholder has an a kitty that I found on the internet as an Icon. I changed the gif image into a bmp image and imported it into my pattern maker program and made a stitch chart with it. I then followed the chart to make this potholder. This is an oversized potholder excellent for use as a hot pad or a potholder. To use this as a potholder, just fold in half and use double thick.
Materials Needed:
2oz Light blu (blu) Worsted Weight Yarn
1oz each White (wht) and Black (blk) Worsted Weight Yarn.
Yarn Needle
Sige G hook
Yarn Thickness: 4mm
Gauge: 4sc=1" 4rows=1 1/8"
Finished Size: 7"x8"
Skill Level: Intermediate
Requires knowledge of changing colors and carrying yarn throughout work.
Here is the image used to make this potholder.
You will notice the background is transparent. Well the pattern maker program does not recognise transparent colors so that is why the potholder has a blue background.
Be sure to carry the yarn across each row as you work crocheting over the yarn carried. This ensures a thicker potholder. The yarn may peek through but this adds to the charm of the kitty.
