Christmas Refillable Sachet Ornament

Christmas Refillable Sachet Ornament

Designed By Julie A. Bolduc

I made this sachet refillable because potpourrie does tend to lose it's scent over time. It is really small and fast to make. I used real Balsam Fir cuttings to fill this sachet but if you do not have access to a Fir tree, you can use any potpourrie which is made for christmas. You do not need much filling. Just 1 tablespoon. Plus this will make a wonderful bazaar item.

Materials Needed:
Small amount Southmaid size 10 crochet cotton any desired color.
Christmas red was used in the example.
Size 7 steel crochet hook.
14" red picot edged red ribbon ¼" wide.
1 tbsp potpourrie
Ornament hanger of choice.

Weave ribbon on round 8 to make drawstring. Center the ends of the ribbon on the front side, not on the sides.

Stuff with potpourrie then draw up the drawstring to close and tie into a bow. You can change the potpourrie by un tying and restuffing at any time.
