It is fast and easy to make and you can make it even if you do not own an afghan hook. You can also use it as a sachet by stuffing it with potpourri!

Materials Needed:
Small amount white worsted weight yarn. Red Heart color 311 white was used. Scrap of Raspberry worsted weight yarn.
Size H 8 or 5mm aluminum crochet hook.
Yarn end scraps or cut up nylon stockings for stuffing.
Yarn needle

Yarn Thickness: 4mm
Gauge: 4sc=1"
Finished Size: 4"x4"
Skill Level: Beginner of Afghan crochet. Intermediate for crochet in general.

Instructions
Make 2 with white.Sides
ROW 1: Ch12, Keep all lps on hook. Insert hook in 2nd ch from hook and draw up a lp. *Insert hook in next ch, yo draw up a lp. Rep from * across. Then to work back, yo pull through first lp on hook, **yo draw through 2lps on hook. Rep from ** back.

ROW 2: Sk first vert bar. *Insert hook in next vert bar and draw up a lp. Rep from * across. Then to work back, yo pull through first lp on hook, **yo draw through 2lps on hook. Rep from ** back.

ROW 3-10: Rep row 2. At the end of row 10. Bind off. To bind off, *insert hook in vert bar and yo and draw through 2 lps on hook. Rep from * across. Now slst in each row and stitch around perimeter. Join w/slst to first sls. Fasten off and weave ends into back of work.

Set aside the first one and then work the second one the same way. But do not fasten off with the second one just yet. Work the heart chart on the front of the second square.

See instructions in the school lesson. After you are done stitching the heart on the front.

Place the two pieces together wrong sides facing each other and crochet them together all around the perimeter using a sc. Work 3sc in each corner. Before closing, stuff with scraps of yarn. Then close up and slst to the first sc. Now for the final edging work a reverse sc in each st around. Fasten off and weave ends into work.
