This scrunchie is fast and easy to make and uses the Citrus Stitch which I developed awhile ago. I made this scrunchie in just about 15 minutes!

Materials Needed:
Worsted weight acrylic yarn in any color.
Size H/8 or 5mm aluminum crochet hook
Large hair elastic
Yarn Needle for weaving in ends

Yarn Thickness: 3mm
Gauge: 5dc=1"
Finished Size: 5" diam
Skill Level: Beginner

Instructions

Special Stitch Citrus Stitch (cit): Ch5. Pull up a lp in 2nd ch from hook and in each of the next 3 chs. Yo pull through all 5 lps on hook. Ch1 to close.

RND 1: Join yarn to elastic. Ch3, 2dc in elastic. 1cit. *3dc in elastic. Cit. Rep from * 10 times more or until elastic is completely filled. Join w/slst to top of ch3.

Random Quick Tip!

Stringing Beads Before Stitching
If you crochet with beads, put the beads in a shallow dish to make it easier to scoop them up one or two at a time. When working with beads, most of the time you will need to put the beads onto the thread or yarn first before starting withe crocheting.
