This scrunchie is made up of a single round of dc's worked on the post of a trb which gives the scrunchie a floral type of look. This would look great made with variagated yarn. It goes fairly fast and you could make several in an evening.

Materials Needed
Small amount worsted weight acrylic yarn. Soft Pink was used in the example. Red Heart brand.
Size H/8 or 5mm aluminum crochet hook
1 Goody brand Pony Elastic
Yarn Needle for weaving in ends

Yarn Thickness: 4mm
Gauge: 4sc=1"
Finished Size: 4" diameter
Skill Level: Beginner

Instructions
Tie yarn onto elastic. work on elastic like you would be working in a ring.

RND 1: *Ch4, tr in elastic. Work 4dc around post of tr. Sc on elastic. Rep from * 14 times more. Join w/slst to first ch of ch4. Fasten off and weave ends into back of work.

Pretty Gift Tags
The holidays are approaching faster than you think. Get out your old Christmas cards and cut them into circles and squares and punch 1/8" holes around the outside edge and crochet an edging on them using basic sc and picots. These make attractive gift tags and can be used on the recipients Christmas trees in the future. If you get really ambitious, you can cut two cards exactly the same, put the wrong sides together, punch the holes together then start to crochet the two together but when you get within the last inch or so, stuff the inside with any type of stuffing then continue crocheting until it is closed. This will make a 3D type of ornament. You may even want to use basic cookie cutters to make the shapes. This is also a fun thing to get the kids involved in doing.
