Sweetheart Necklace Purse Designed By Julie A. Bolduc

This little necklace purse is just right for holding a small amount of candy and would make a great gift for that little girl in your family. This pattern uses the stitch the Single Crochet Front Back Bobble.

Materials Needed:
Small amount White and pink Lustersheen.
Size D or 3, 3.5mm Aluminum crochet hook.
Yarn needle for weaving in ends

Yarn Thickness 2mm
Gauge: 5sc=1"
Finished Size: =3.5"x18" overall length
Skill Level: Beginner

(scfbb)
Insert hook in back lp only of next st. yo, draw up a loop. You will now have 2 lps on hook. Yo, draw throug one lp on hook. Now, insert hook in front lp of same stitch from the inside toward you, yo draw up a lp. You should now have 3 lps on hook. Yo and pull through all 3 lps on hook.

Instructions
ROW 1: With white, ch18. Sc in 2nd ch from hook and in each ch across. You should have 17 sc across. Ch2, turn.

ROW 2: Hdc in first sc. *Scbb in next st. Hdc in next st. Rep from * across. You will end with a hdc in the last st. Ch2, turn.

ROW 3: Scfbb in first st. Hdc in next st. Scfbb in next st. Rep from * across. You will end with a scfbb in the last st. Ch2, turn.

ROW 4-31: Rep rows 2 & 3. At the end of row 31, ch1, turn.

Flap:
ROW 32: Sc in first st. Hdc in next st. *Scfbb in next st. hdc in next st. rep from * across until you come to the last st. Sc in the last st. Do not ch1, just turn.

ROW 33: Sc in next st. Hdc in next st. *Scfbb in next st. hdc in next st. Rep from * 6 times. Sc in next st. Turn. Do not chain.

ROW 34: Sc in next st. Hdc in next st. Scfbb in next st. Hdc in next st. Rep from * 5 times total. Sc in next st, turn.

ROW 35: Sc in next st. Hdc in next st. Scfbb in next st. Hdc in next st. Rep from * 4 times total. Sc in next st, turn.

ROW 36: Sc in next st. Hdc in next st. Scfbb in next st. Hdc in next st. Rep from * 3 times total. Sc in next st, turn.

ROW 37: Sc in next st. Hdc in next st. Scfbb in next st. Hdc in next st. Rep from * 2 times total. Sc in next st, turn.

ROW 38: Sc in next st. Hdc in next st. Ch1, sk next st. Hdc in next st. sc in next st. Fasten off and weave all ends into work.

Perimeter:
Join yarn in first sc of last row. Sc in same st. 3sc in ch1 sp. Sc in next st. Now work a row of sc all the way around working over the sc row at the very beginning of row one. Work 3 sc in each corner. When you get back to the start of the perimeter, join w/slst to first sc. Fasten off and weave ends into work.

Assembly and Handle
Fold the bottom up so you have a "pocket" about 3.5" high. With pink, join to bottom right corner on the inside lps only of perimeter and working the two layeers together, slst in each st up the side. When you get to the top corner, work the following in the top corner. Ch2, (yo insert hook in same st as last slst, draw up a lp, yo draw through 2 lps on hook) and repeat bet () one more time. Yo, draw through all 3 lps on hook. Ch2.

Now repeat the following between (( )) until you have your desired length. (([Yo, insert hook in the 3 lps you drew your yarn through before on previous st, yo, draw up a lp, yo, draw through 2lps on hook.] Rep between [] one more time. Yo and draw through all 3lps on hook. Ch2.))

When you reach your desired length, sc in top corner of left side to work down the left side of "pocket". Slst in each st down the left side as you did for the right side. Fasten off and weave ends into work.
