Afghan Stitch Belt

This crocheted belt is the perfect project for those people who are just learning how to do the afghan stitch since it does not require the use of an afghan hook.
Materials Needed
1 Ball 124yds or 113M Aunt Lydia's Shimmer Fashion in Lt Linen color #2242
Size G/6 or 4.00mm aluminum crochet hook
2 " D" rings 1" wide.
Yarn needle for weaving in ends.
Yarn Thickness: 2mm
Gauge: 5sts = 1"
Finished Size: Variable Length by 1.25" wide
Skill Level: Beginner in Tunisian
Instructions
ROW 1: Join yarn onto both rings at the same time, ch1, and work 6 sc in rings. Do not ch, just turn.
ROW 2: Insert hook in next sc, through both lps, and pull up a loop, all the way across. You should have 7 loops on hook. Yo, pull through first loop on hook. Yo, pull through 2 loops on hook as many times as needed to get to only one loop left on hook.
ROW 3+: Insert hook in next vertical bar and pull up a loop, all the way across. You should have 7 loops on hook. Yo, pull through first loop on hook. Yo, pull through 2 loops on hook as many times as needed to get to only one loop left on hook. Repeat this row for as long as you want the belt to be. When you get it as long as you want, fasten off and weave ends into back of work.
Perimeter
Join yarn on ch1, where you joined to the rings. Slst in each row, up to end. Ch1. Slst in each vertical bar across. Ch1. Slst in each row down the other side of belt back to the rings. Fasten off and weave ends into back of work.
